Top 10: Chrome

These are my Top 5 favourite Chrome Apps, Add-Ons, and Extensions.

1. SpeakIt! Extension: Speech-to-Text Extension allows students to highlight text and have their device read it back to them.

2. VoiceNote II App: Speech-to-Text App that saves a student's voice as a written note.

3. Kaizena: Allows you to leave voice feedback on student work in Google Docs. You can use Kaizen on their website or add it as an Add-On for Google Docs.

4. Screencastify: Screen video recording app that allows the user to record all activity that takes place on their screen or webcam, including their voice. Free version allows for 10 minutes of video to be recorded. You can choose to save videos to your Google Drive account.

5. AdBlock: This extension blocks out all advertisements on the web.

6. Build With Chrome or Lego Builder: Create anything you would like with virtual LEGO.

7. Google Classroom: Allows teachers to create "classrooms" to send and organize assignments, make announcements  and provide feedback to their students. Available as an app or through their website.

8. Readium: This app allows students to read EPUB files on their Chromebook.

9. Padlet: An app to create, share, and collaborate anywhere by creating a "wall". Also a great way to have students share their work with you or their parents. Also available through their website.

10. TLDR (Too Long, Didn't Read It): Creates a summary of a webpage without leaving the site.
